FirstCom Music Welcomes Lonnie Sill

FirstCom Music, a leading provider of music services, is pleased to announce the appointment of industry icon Lonnie Sill as their new Director of Film And TV Music. “We are thrilled that Lonnie has joined FirstCom Music’s LA team,” says Carol Riffert – Vice President/General Manager for FirstCom Music. “We believe that he will provide an outstanding level of leadership and will offer our clients a valuable resource via his extensive industry experience.”

In various executive capacities Sill has produced music for key industry leaders including: Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Columbia Pictures, Cherry Lane Music Publishing, and Windswept Pacific. Additionally, high profile filmmakers such as Francis Ford Coppola, Walter Hill and others have relied on Sill to find and create music that is compelling and engaging.

Over the years he has creatively contributed to notable film soundtracks such as: Ghost, The Godfather III, Hunt for Red October, Dead Again, Another 48 Hours, Days of Thunder and many more. Sill was also involved in all aspects of physical and post-production for many TV series including: Elvis:The Mini-Series, Cane, Crazy Like A Fox, Fantasy Island, Hart To Hart, Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer, TJ Hooker, and the list goes on.

Recently, FirstCom Music’s LA office expanded by welcoming the MasterSource Library. Among his other responsibilities, Sill will be focused on integrating this popular film and TV library into the FirstCom Music collection. “I am excited about this opportunity and I look forward to having a hand in shaping the future of FirstCom Music’s film and TV division,” says Sill. “It’s a welcome challenge to work with an industry leader that offers their clients a strong, creatively rich music resource.”
