Want to learn more about the talented people behind our production music? This is a great place to start! We’ve created a five-part series spotlighting the top composers from our MasterSource music library. Each week, we will reveal a top composer from the catalog (in no particular order), so be sure to check in every week to see who we post on next! Today, we will begin with composer Paul Taylor.
In 1982, Paul began his professional career as the keyboardist for Canadian rock sensation Aldo Nova’s backing band. After Aldo’s hit single “Fantasy” went to #3 on the charts, Paul’s career kicked off on the road as a touring musician. He then went on to play, tour and record with bands such as Alice Cooper, Winger, Steve Perry, John Waite, and Tommy Shaw. Paul also wrote chart-topping songs for both Winger and Steve Perry.
More recently, Paul has been involved with composing music for TV and film. He’s written over 200 songs for television, including the main title for Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Currently, Paul is living in Nashville where he is producing talented new artists, such as Meghan Linsey (of Steel Magnolia), and writing up a storm!
